Earlier this year, my friends Divya and Vidit tied the knot in an intimate ceremony by the beach in Goa. All the events were thoughtfully planned out and smoothly executed (despite hiccups!) by friends and family. The weekend began with the mehendi under a couple of cabanas in the late afternoon sun. The scene was dotted with steaming cups of chai, precariously held by mehendi-ed hands. As the sun set, everyone made their way to the lawn by the beach for the sangeet, and pretty much danced (ahem, and drank) till they dropped.
The wedding happened the next day, just as the sun was sinking in the sky. As you might have guessed by now, this couple really likes sunsets! The ceremonies were carefully curated to include those that Divya and Vidit found meaningful. Everyone was able to comfortably circle around the mantap, making it one of the cosiest weddings I’ve been to! This short sunset wedding was then followed by a lovely dinner on the deck.
Having known both of them since college, getting this chance to photograph their loved ones celebrating them was beyond special. And it was so much more fun as I was able to do this along with my other college friends Hitesh Ganwani, Pooja Pillai and Shlok Menon. And my husband, Snehal Pinto was a top notch assistant. Thank you, my peoples!
